This Fallout 4 Mod adds around 18000 additional trees to the game
I would prefer a mod that adds taller, better looking and more abundant grass with fluffier trees. I'd recommend Borealis Landscapes + Borealis Landscapes LOD. I'm on Xbox too, and that's the most performance friendly but most extensive I've used so far.

The Base Mod Patch fixes and adjusts trees all over the map. I remove trees that completely clip through things or block your way, adjust trees to reduce clipping into buildings as much as possible.

1 Posted May 23, 2016 I noticed that in the Fallout 4 trailers and the older fallout games, there were a lot less trees. Without trees, the landscape feels a lot emptier and ruined, like it should after a nuclear apocalypse. Fallout 4 though, has a shitload of trees everywhere. In my opinion, this makes the environment feel too cluttered and alive.
